Twitter, Facebook, My Space, Ning, etc. all ask a similar question -

What are you doing?

The question is simple but very powerful.  The social networks business is basically documenting human moments.  Some of these moments are good, some not so good, regardless, we all now get an unprecedented view into how other folks are living "in their moments" and what the priorities are in their lives.  Mankind has never had such a raw, detailed, view into human "moments" - it simply has not been possible until My Space, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

The fact that human moments can now instantaneously be shared worldwide, across geography, culture, race, religion, etc. without editorial review and censorship is powerful stuff.  The social networks are facilitating global interaction and communication between humans on a scale that none of us have ever seen before.  Wow.

The other day it occurred to me what an incredibly powerful distribution channel social networks are for helping to facilitate "piece" on earth.  As a review, "piece" is taking other people, the planet and prosperity into consideration in each moment.  Stringing together individual moments lived in "piece" (people, planet, prosperity) will result in peace of mind, body and spirit - we call it the "piece" 2.0 Lifestyle.  The "moments" are the relevant part because "piece" is a choice we all make each and every moment of each and every day.  Twitter, Facebook, etc. may as well ask - Are you going to be good or not so good in this moment?  Are you going to make love or war in this moment?  Are you going to make the effort to recycle in this moment?  Are you living this moment in "piece"?  And so on.

For Twitter folks, there is a hash tag - #piece2dot0 - that you can use (and we have used) to document moments lived in "piece".

"Switched places with the last person in line at Starbucks..#piece2dot0" and so on.

Those moments are distributed to thousands of Twitter followers, can be searched on Twitter at #piece2dot0, and are streamed to our web site and the piece 2.0 community on Ning.  Wow - we are now documenting moments of "piece" on earth.  "piece" suddenly has become a lifestyle, not a destination and the moments can be leveraged by others to help them live moments in "piece".  Absolutely amazing stuff.

This past Friday on Twitter piece2dot0 got some #followfriday love from Kimberly Snow that simply said -

"#followfriday because i've been inspired - @piece2dot0".

Well, #piece2dot0 to that - Twitter has enabled "piece" on earth!

I LOVE THIS CONCEPT!! The idea of having a sense of community again, locally and world wide, is exciting and long overdue! We need to have a sense of awareness of our own actions and of course how it affects the others around us. Switching spots with someone in line will not only make that person's day better, you are also setting an example for those around you. Sharing this fact with the world shows how proud you are as a person and how great it is to live in this world. We all need to have that sense, otherwise we're just lost souls.. wandering through life bumping into eachother, instead of really seeing... the beauty in everything.
