FAQ's about the "piece" movement & "piece" sign

1. What does "piece" stand for?

"piece" is the acknowledgement that we are a "piece" of an interconnected universe & should act that way by consciously choosing to serve people, the planet, & general prosperity in each moment.  The result of living moments in "piece" is individual peace of mind, body & spirit & ultimately, a more "piece" full world.  We are developing a line of remarkably mindful products that serve with the "piece" brand to create the world we want to live in one remarkably mindful purchase at a time.  "piece" products enable humans to live moments in "piece".  "piece" is the "piece" movement for every generation - past, present & future.

2. What's with issuing shares with the "piece" founders tee?

We wanted to find a way to compensate the "independent contractors" who help spread the wisdom of "piece" message and who support (through actions i.e. - a purchase, a tweet, a Facebook friends message, etc.) the production of remarkably mindful products that serve.  Will the shares make anyone Bill Gates or Warren Buffett, of course not, but the shares do give the founders of "piece" a vested interest in helping to plant the seeds of "piece" which will create a more "piece" full world.  The fact is, founders become "owners" of "piece" and will make the wisdom of "piece" spread though out the world or not spread through out the world, as it should be.  Founders also get the opportunity to help co-create other remarkably mindful products that serve with the "piece" brand and share in the revenue from those products.  Think the "piece" car, "piece" diapers, "piece" toilet paper, "piece" art - the possibilities are endless.

3. Why "piece", not "peace"?

The word peace and the traditional peace signs have become goals - the piece signpeace is something we hope for but do not have today.  "piece" does change the word (on purpose) because it is time for humans to change the context with which we view the world & the way we live in the world.  Acknowledging "piece", then acting on that wisdom is what the "piece" movement is about.  One word represents the view of the world humans should have and act on in each moment.  One word also sums up what the result of living with that view is.  That one word is "piece".  For more on this topic visit the "piece" sign page.

4. How is the "piece" movement different from the peace movement?

First, "piece" is a view of the world and a way of living in the world, it is not a goal, "piece" is a reality for whoever wants it, right now.  Second, "piece" is about using your talents to serve "the environment" (humans & the planet) but not at the expense of your, or anyone else's, prosperity - it is broader than the peace movement which was largely an anti-war movement.  Third, "piece" was started to enable humans to live in "piece", so, we are simply for humans living in "piece"...promoting awareness, yes, protests, no.

5. Explain the "piece" sign again.

The "piece" sign and icon show us united & connected.  The fingers are together and the center circle in the icon is solid and surrounded by bands of energy - as they should be.  It also says "piece" which is a reminder and a call to action in the moment.  I was never really sure what to do with the peace sign, "piece" reminds us that we are a "piece" of an interconnected universe & asks that we act accordingly

The white color represents the pure white light that moments of "piece" (choosing to serve people, planet & prosperity) produce.  White light consists of the combination of every piece of the spectrum, delete one color & you cannot produce pure white light.  The white piece sign represents serving every-thing, not just some-things.  By consciously serving every-thing, by default, you serve your-self.

The black represents the subatomic view of matter/energy.  As Dr. Bruce Lipton says in his book The Biology of Belief, "If it were theoretically possible to observe the composition of an actual atom with a microscope, what would we see?...As the surface of the atom drew near, it would disappear.  You would see nothing (meaning it would be a blank black space).  The atom has no physical structure-the emperor has no clothes!"  So, the black represents the fact that, as Lipton goes on to say, "Einstien revealed that we do not live in a universe with discrete, physical objects separated by dead space.  The Universe is one indivisible, dynamic whole in which energy and matter are so deeply entangled it is impossible to consider them as independent elements."  So, it is a fact, we - every-one & every-thing - are interconnected, time to start acting that way ~ "piece"

6. What is a moment in "piece"?

Buying a founding piece of "piece" tee.  A conversation with a founder of the "piece" movement would go something like this: Whadya do today?  Well, I acquired an ownership stake in a company, I donated to some eco non-profits, I lent some money to some entrepreneurs, I became a founder of the new "piece" movement/helped launch a social enterprise, I enabled a bunch of sustainable businesses and I bought this remarkably mindful tee-shirt that serves for a really great price.  I voted for a remarkably mindful world that serves.  How about you?  A moment in "piece" is a conscious choice to be remarkably mindful and serve through your actions.

7.  What do you mean by make a conscious choice?

Marketing guru Martin Lindstrom says in his book Buyology - The Truth and Lies about Why We Buy, "But now that we know that roughly 90 percent of our consumer buying behavior is unconscious, the time has come for a paradigm shift."  He goes on to say, "As we have seen again and again, most of our buying decisions aren't remotely conscious.  Our brain makes the decision and most of the time we aren't aware of it."  So, "piece" is asking us to be remarkably mindful and consciously choose to purchase products that serve.  i.e. to know exactly "why" we purchased something..."I purchased it because it is a remarkably mindful product that serves and those are the only products I buy now."  As Lindstrom points out, simply making a conscious choice these days is remarkable in and of itself.  We can create the world we want to live in one remarkably mindful purchase at a time.
