The "piece" sign enables humans to live in "piece"

The "piece" sign offers a new lens with which to view the world...

One who sees himself as everything is fit to be guardian of the world.

One who loves himself as everyone is fit to be teacher of the world.

13th Verse Tao Te Ching

Many parts of human infrastructure are ego based and as a result are "divisive".  Like it or not, we have created an us vs. them world.  Languages, countries, religions, race, sex, schools, sports teams, etc. - the list goes on and on.  That, along with our incredible quest to "control" nature (cloning, pollution, drugs, etc.) rather than harmonize with it has created an environment that is on the brink.

Some great examples of our ego centered divisiveness are the current peace signs.  The irony is that the peace signs really represent why we don't have peace.

To illustrate the point, the fingers are separated - symbolizing and confirming division. In addition, the V sign, in certain instances has stood for victory - victory obviously requires that there be a winner and a loser - so, peace at the expense of others - no bueno. Not to beat a dead horse, but the peace icon also has separate lines converging on a single point - basically emphasizing, once again, that we are divided. The current peacepiece sign signs unintentionally depict the state of our ego centered world and also address the root cause of why, as humans, we don't enjoy peace of mind, body, and spirit.  They do not however, provide any guidance on what to do to crack the code.

Which brings us to the development of the "piece" sign and the "piece" movement. The reality is, we don't need to be "brought together" - we already are together - our individual and collective egos just don't allow us to see it that way.  Cell biologist, medical researcher and professor, Bruce Lipton says in his book, The Biology of Belief, "Einstein revealed (with E=mc2) that we do not live in a universe with discrete, physical objects separated by dead space.  The Universe is one indivisible, dynamic whole in which energy and matter are so deeply entangled it is impossible to consider them as independent elements."  He goes on to say, "Because the enviroment represents "All That Is" (God)...we all represent a small part of the whole...a small part of God."  So, we have the Tao in the quote above, Einstien with E=mc2 and a leading voice in the new understanding of biology (the new biology) all saying we come from god, the source, a higher power of energy or whatever you want to call it and are interconnected.  Sounds like we need to change the context in which we view each other and every-thing else in the enviroment we live in. We need to awaken to the truth that we are all an equal "piece" of the universe and treat each other that way - turkish, british, indian, american, saudi - christian, jew, muslim, buddist - asian, mexican, persian, dog, cat, lion, shark, tree, bush, rainforest, flower, pacific ocean, stream, lake - umm, no....how about,

an interconnected, equal "piece" of god...just like you.

The "piece" sign (see the image above) reflects the view that "we" are one - with one another and nature - i.e. "our environment". As you can see, the fingers on our "piece" sign are connected and the center circle in our icon is solid and surrounded by energy - as they should be. Our belief that we are separate from any-thing is incorrect, we need to rewire our belief on this one and accept the truth and wisdom of "piece".  The message of the "piece" sign is - there will be no peace and harmony until we acknowledge and live in "piece" (considering people, planet, prosperity).

So, to put this into a nice little package -

The old peace signs unintentionally (but correctly) show us divided by our egos, which is why we don't have peace of mind, body or spirit.

The new "piece" signs show our interconnected reality, assimilating this view into our actions is the way to individual and collective peace of mind, body and spirit.

So, "piece" is made up of 100's of choices we each make, each and every moment, of each and every day.  "piece" is a choice, it is a lifestyle, not a destination.

We hope the "piece" sign provides a meaningful symbol that can be leveraged in everyday interactions throughout the world. The challenge for humanity is to first acknowledge our connectedness to every-thing, not just some-things and then to make the choice to act in alignment with that belief by serving people, the planet and prosperity.
